2nd Annual Infertility Awareness Walk and Patient Appreciation Day

Kelowna, British Columbia – The 2nd annual Infertility Awareness Walk and Patient Appreciation Day will be held on Saturday May 31st at Stuart Park in Kelowna at 12:15 pm. Approximately 1 in 6 couples experience fertility challenges. As a way to bring support to those who experience infertility, the team at Kelowna Regional Fertility Centre will be holding a 3 km walk. The walk will generate awareness, support and a sense of community, all of which will advance fertility care and aid patients confronting infertility challenges.

Following the walk, Dr. Kathy Wise (medical director at the Kelowna Regional Fertility Centre) and a select group of patients will be giving a public talk at 1:15. We hope that your media outlet will consider sending someone to cover this event.

Hot dogs will be served and a bouncy castle will be provided for the kids.

Dr. Katherine E. Wise, M.D., F.R.C.S: is a fully qualified obstetrician gynecologist who has been in practice since 1998. Recent recipient of the SOGC Millennium Fellowship award (for community based physicians seeking additional clinical training), Dr. Wise has received additional training in infertility from the world leading fertility centre in Vancouver.
