British Columbia Dragoons Change of Command

KELOWNA, BC — This Sunday, The British Columbia Dragoons will be receiving a new Commanding Officer. In a Change of Command ceremony out-going Commanding Officer Lt.-Col. Nigel Whittaker will hand over command to in-coming Commanding Officer Lt.-Col. Andy McQuilkin. Media are invited to the Change of Command to meet the out-going and in-coming commanders, and the soldiers of the regiment.

When: Sunday, March 09, 2014, starting at 2:45 p.m.
Media are asked to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. to ensure access and receive a brief.

Where: Brigadier Angle Armoury – 720 Lawrence Avenue, Kelowna, BC.

What: On March 9, 2014, Lt.-Col. Nigel Whittaker will relinquish his command of the Regiment to Lt.-Col. Andy McQuilkin in a change of command ceremony. The parade and ceremony will be witnessed by Colonel Matthew Haussmann, Commander 39 Canadian Brigade Group. Guests to the ceremony will include local dignitaries, members of the serving military from BC and Washington State, and the extended BCD Regimental Family, consisting of veterans, cadets and supporters. Lt.-Col. Whittaker has commanded The British Columbia Dragoons since 2009
