MGC Volunteers Teach Elementary Students to Build Planter Boxes
Jun 3, 2013
Throughout April and May, MGC Construction employees volunteered at South Rutland Elementary School in Kelowna to lead and participate in activities with the students during recess in conjunction with the school’s Play Pal leadership program.
On May 24, 2013, during the school’s Play Day, MGC hosted an activity station called “Let’s Build Something Greatâ€. MGC staff helped more than 120 primary students build and paint planter boxes, tool boxes, and jewelry boxes. Nearly every student in the school had the opportunity to build something. It was a great afternoon!
We were also happy to donate an iPad to the support services department of the school, and hope it will be a useful tool for years to come.
