IPHONE USERS URGED TO BACKUP ICLOUD NOW. HACKERS THREATEN LOCKOUT ON APRIL 7TH
A hacking group calling themselves the Turkish Crime Family has threatened to lock or wipe out iphones. Apple Inc, believes the passwords obtained are from another security breach and affect those who use the same password on multiple sites or devices.
Now would be an excellent time to change your icloud password and turn on two factor authentication. You can do this by: Go to Settings > [your name]. If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud > tap your Apple ID. Tap Password & Security. Tap Turn on Two-Factor Authentication. To change your Icloud password Go to the My Apple ID website (appleid.apple.com) and follow the instructions to reset your Apple ID password. After changing your iCloud password, make sure you update it on all your devices and in any email apps you use to get your iCloud email.
It is strongly recommended not to save important items in any “cloud†you do not control. This includes dropbox, Google drive, Microsoft One drive and of course Icloud. Everyone of these are targets for hacking and everyone of these have lost user data. It is recommended to use a cloud service that you own and runs on your own equipment leaving you in complete control and hidden from the target of hackers. For more information on how to do that please send for a info pack request at [email protected]
