The 21st annual Sheila Bishop slo-pitch tournament held recently as part of Peachfest, was a roaring success, with a donation of $2,600 made to the OSNS Child and Youth development center. 6 teams competed in the annual event that uniquely uses only wood bats. The Oaks came out on top by beating the Dirty Ball Bags. Tournament organizer Paulo Borba would like to extend many thanks to the local umpires association for donating their time to officiate every game, to Peachfest for their continued support and to Dugout Mugs for sponsoring the home run hitting contest. Ciara Bamford and Tanner Collins were the winners and each took home a special edition wood bat mug for their efforts.
