The Shuswap region is gearing up for an extraordinary event—The Shuswap Family Expo 2024! On September 28, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, families from across the Shuswap region are invited to the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds for a incredible day of fun, learning, and community connections.
A One-Stop Event for Shuswap Families
1. The Shuswap Family Expo is a family-focused event designed to provide parents and caregivers with a comprehensive view of the resources available to support their children’s growth and well-being. Whether you’re a new parent, a seasoned pro, or somewhere in between, this expo is your one-stop shop for all things family-related. What sets us apart? There is nothing like this is our area! We’re not just about booths and brochures. Our expo features expert guest speakers, interactive experiences, including bouncy castles, sports demos, and even a visit from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks mascot!
What to Expect:
1. Resource Showcase: Explore booths from local organizations, businesses, and community groups. From early childhood education to mental health services, we’ve got it all. Discover the tools you need to help your family thrive.
2. Interactive Fun: Get ready for excitement! We’ll have the Salmon Arm Silverbacks mascot Kong making appearances, bouncy castles for the kids, a juggler and engaging activities from 4-H and Jumpstart.
3. Expert Insights: Our guest speaker lineup includes 3 amazing experts who will share practical tips, strategies, and inspiration on nutrition, physical activity and parenting. Don’t miss out on their wisdom!
4. Food Trucks Galore: Refuel with delicious bites from our food trucks. Because good food fuels great parenting!
5. Truth and Reconciliation Collaboration: Rise Up Wellness joins us for special segments throughout the day, focused on truth, healing, and community unity.
6. Sports Demo Area: Let your little athletes explore different sports and activities. Who knows—you might discover a hidden talent!

Admission is by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Shuswap Family Centre and is hosted by TaylorMade Wellness Clinic and Say Yes to The Rest Pediatric Sleep Consulting. Bouncy Castle wristbands will be $10 for a whole day of bouncing! Come together with fellow parents, caregivers, kids and community members for a day of connection, learning, and family magic.
