Freddy is Back!
Oct 10, 2022
After more than 2 years, the multiple award-winning, Fred Skeleton Theatre is back and ready to entertain Kelowna with their eclectic and offbeat style. This time audiences are invited to not only watch, but directly change, how each show unfolds. That’s because Fred Skeleton is presenting “30 Neo-Futurist plays from TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND, 30 plays in 60 minutes,” written by Greg Allen.
Known as “the longest running show in the history of Chicago theater in Chicago,” the play matches Fred Skeleton Theatre’s penchant for the weird and wonderful. Audience members can fully expect a unique, interactive experience that is part “autobiography, performance art, and living newspaper.”
Featuring a cast consisting of Freddy stalwarts and first timers, no two shows will be the same. When asked what audiences should expect, Rob Mason-Brown (FST’s creative director,) states “expect a really fun and raucous night at the theatre!”
The show starts this Thursday, October 13th, in the Mary Irwin Theatre, at the RCA, and runs until October 22nd. Tickets are limited and can be bought at www.rotarycentreforthearts.com, under the “Events” button. Tickets are also available at the RCA box office, located inside the main building.
For those that fancy a “Dinner and a Show,” ticket holders can visit the Welton Arms Craft Beer and Restaurant for a discount on their meals, simply show your server your ticket when paying.
To learn more, visit www.fredskeleton.com or the RCA’s website. For all inquiries, you can also email [email protected].
Fred Skeleton Theatre looks forward to welcoming you back and kicking off a new era of Kelowna theatre!
