BNA Brewing to Host Finale Festival for Inaugural Kelowna Beer Week
The wrap-up event will feature an array of Central Okanagan breweries
Kelowna, BC: The first annual Kelowna Beer Week is set to finish up with a feature event at one of Downtown Kelowna’s best breweries. Nearly all of the members of the recently formed Central Okanagan Brewers Association (COBRA), the group behind the week-long festivities, will be in attendance at BNA Brewing on Saturday, October 8th from 12-3pm pouring their wares. The event marks the conclusion of the debut year of celebrating beer made right here in Kelowna (and a little bit beyond). Starting on October 1st, coincidentally also the beginning of BC Craft Beer Month, events will take place in each of the city’s brewing neighbourhoods: Downtown, Uptown, the North End, South Kelowna, Clement, and West Kelowna. Participants will not only have access to some of the province’s best beer, they’ll also have the opportunity to collect stamps on a special passport, which in turn can enter them to win prizes furnished by the breweries. Twenty-one of which make up COBRA, and most of them will be present and pouring at the Finale Festival on the 8th. The $20 ticket includes 2 drink tokens, music by local DJ Ghostcurb, and access to discounted bowling and bocce during the event.
“We’re really looking forward to gathering all of the breweries under one roof and welcoming beer fans in to enjoy what these producers have to share,” says Jill Jarrett of BNA Brewing. “There is some serious brewing talent in our midst that’s putting Kelowna – and the greater Central Okanagan – on the map in the craft beer world.”
Tickets may be purchased in advance via bit.ly/KBWFinaleFestival or at the door, provided any quantity remains.
