Clinton Museum Welcomes MP Frank Caputo to Historical Food Tasting
Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo Member of Parliament Frank Caputo will enjoy a meal crafted from cuisine served over 60 years ago when he joins the Clinton Museum for their weekly Historical Food Tasting on Saturday, August 20th starting at noon. The museum staff and volunteers will cook various dishes from the original Clinton Hotel lunch menu from 1958. This unique meal will consist of one dish from each of eight categories: relishes, soups, fish, salads, roasts and entrees, cold meats, vegetables, and sweets. The public is also invited to participate, with entry by donation. Be sure to add this heartwarming historical event to your calendars.
This event is the culmination of an entire summer of museum programming which has included historical food tasting from various decades including the 1860s, 30s, and 40s, plus themed events with live music.
About the South Cariboo Historical Museum Society: Operating in Clinton’s historic 1892 brick schoolhouse, the mission of the South Cariboo Historical Museum Society is to help keep the Clinton area history alive through the acquisition, preservation, and display of artifacts, archival materials, and memorabilia from our past for the enjoyment and education of citizens and visitors now, and in the future.
