Kelowna's newest furniture store, Wolf & Porter, is now open for business.

Wolf & Porter, a Kelowna based furniture company that caters to the luxury market, have opened their first showroom here in Kelowna.

KELOWNA, Jan. 6, 2022 – Wolf & Porter creates single slab hardwood tables with a focus on quality over quantity. Their tables sit in some of the country's most beautiful homes, and are now available to view and purchase in a luxury showroom in Kelowna, BC.

"We're talking about tables created from extremely rare sustainably sourced slabs that have been growing for over 100 years, but due to disease or natural events have unfortunately fallen or become dangerous" says co-founder Harvey Bremner. “The material we source is truly one of a kind, so we try to keep the spirit of that alive in the tables that we produce” he continues.

Wolf & Porter was created to service the high demand in Kelowna for true luxury furniture. Harvey says “The Okanagan has some of the most luxurious homes in the country, built by some of the country's top designers and construction companies. But, those homeowners are having to source outside of the valley, and even outside Canada, to ensure they get the quality of handmade table they require to furnish their dining and living rooms, and that just doesn't sit right with us”.

Partnering with the top suppliers of rare hardwood slabs across North America, Wolf & Porter is able to offer these high end luxury collections from a variety of different hardwoods. “Our goal is to provide our clients with something they won't find anywhere else in the country, let alone The Okanagan. We carry some of the rarest wood slabs available. That's the biggest difference, these are truly one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture" says Harvey. “Every time someone sits at a Wolf & Porter table they're reminded that there's over 100 years of history in the tree that came together to make it".

The company is passionate about the environment and works with every supplier to ensure sustainability is at the core of each table. "A big question we get asked is around sustainability" says Harvey, "Wolf & Porter proudly supports the Ancient Forest Alliance, which works to protect endangered ancient forests in BC and to ensure a sustainable, second-growth forest industry”.

The showroom is open now at their new location on Enterprise Way in Kelowna, where customers are able to view the collection of tables. There are many custom designs in various shapes and sizes, ranging from large dining tables for larger homes to smaller coffee tables perfect for condo living.
