Susan passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years in her residence at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna, British Columbia. She was born in Mundare, Alberta, to Nancy and Bill Atamanchuk. Most of Susan’s life was spent in Edmonton, Alberta, where she raised her family, enjoyed time with friends, and worked in the soft drink industry until retirement.
Susan is forever loved and greatly missed by her daughters Karen Eastlake of Edmonton and Deborah (Rick) Laidlaw of Kelowna; four cherished grandchildren: Alexa Eastlake, Bradyn Eastlake, Kristy (Chris) Baxter and Taylor Laidlaw; and great-grandchildren Ruby and Rozlyn Baxter. Susan will be lovingly remembered by her sister Kathy (Jeff) Walling of Edmonton; nieces Cindy Walling (Ziggy Kirchner) and Sharon Walling; nephew Gary Stepchuk; great-nephews Jared and Justin Holosney; stepson Tracy Zukiwsky; other relatives and friends. Susan was predeceased by her husband Roy Zukiwsky in 2013; her parents; siblings Anne Stepchuk and Edward Atamanchuk; and son-in-law Arthur Eastlake.
We will all remember different moments shared with Mom, Baba or Susan, but her kindness, generosity, and ability to make each of us feel special was a constant.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sun Pointe Village for their compassionate care of Susan.
A Graveside service and interment will occur at a later date at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Mundare, Alberta.

My sincere condolences to Susan's family and friends. It was an honour to get to know Susan this past year. She was always so sweet, friendly and smiley. I will miss our breakfasts together, playing word games, and just talking.
