ZIOLKOSKI, Merrie "Billee"

ZIOLKOSKI, Merrie

March 13, 1939 - September 16, 2019

There is no greater sorrow than to announce the passing of our beautiful Mom. Billee was born with her identical twin Patricia on March 13, 1939 in Vancouver, BC and passed in Kelowna, BC on September 16, 2019, surrounded by the love of her children.

Mom had a wonderful childhood growing up in Burnaby, BC and had special memories of playing sports, watching hockey with her Dad and twin, Stanley Park, and family summer holidays at Crescent Beach. She eventually settled in Kelowna and devoted her life to raising her family - forever putting everyone's needs ahead of hers. Mom is the most loving, gentle, kind, and giving person. Her beauty and spirit will be treasured, and the memories cherished in the hearts of her family and those who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her children, Michelle (Randy), Michael, and Monica and her adoring granddaughters - Mackenzie, Mikera, and Nichole. She is also mourned by her sisters Glenda and Joy and the families of all her siblings.

She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Gertrude, sisters Shirley, Gloria, and very recently her beloved twin Pat and brother Bryan.
Our dearest Mom, we love you so and miss you terribly. We are only comforted by knowing you are reunited with Auntie Pat.

The family would like to say a heartfelt Thank You to Cyril Schermann for his unending love and support and would like to acknowledge the kindness and care extended to Mom by the nurses and doctors at KGH.

As is Mom’s quiet way, there will be no service by request. Should you choose, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA in Mom’s name would be appreciated.

Mom loved the poem “the Dash” by Linda Ellis. We are so inspired by how she lived – so strong, selfless and caring, and we are very proud to be her children – the legacy of her Dash. In her memory, please take the time to hug your loved ones closer and consider your Dash.
