WINTERHALDER, Wendy Elaine

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wendy Elaine (Reading) Winterhalder.

Born June 3rd, 1948 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm BC.

Wendy passed peacefully on August 31st, 2018 at North Okanagan Hospice Society, in Vernon BC.

Wendy graduated from Salmon Arm Senior High school in 1966. She represented the Canadian Legion in the 'Queen of the Shuswap', while working at McKenzie Men's Wear.

Wendy married Ernie Winterhalder May 13th, 1967 and resided on Black Forest Farms in Deep Creek, BC. She worked on the Winterhalder farm, for Van-Kam Freightways and Century 21 Realty.

Wendy & Ernie, retired in Enderby BC, where Wendy volunteered at the Twice But Nice.

Wendy's talents of sewing, knitting, crochet, cooking, canning, vacationing, music, playing slow-pitch and cards. She loved to dance, old time & line dancing. Wendy & Ernie became avid square dancers. Wendy even became a caller. She sewed all her square dancing dresses and matching shirts for Ernie.

Wendy's signature laughs & giggles, will be missed.

Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ernie Winterhalder. Daughter, Tracy Donhauser & (Terry) Donhauser. Son, Trent Winterhalder & (Emma, sons Lincoln & Noah Moran).
Wendy's grandson's Devin Ringland & (Daniel Hernandez) and Jared Ringland.
Robert & (Fay) Reading, Gail Fennell & (Dave Harper), Gary & (Debbie) Reading, Ted Reading & (Tammy Loftus), Judy & (John) Thornhill, Donna & (Harold) Durocher, Bill & (Carolyn) Reading, Harry & (Pat) Winterhalder, cousins, nieces & nephews and many wonderful friends.

Predeceased by Mother, Margaret & (Frank) Munro, Father, Arnold Reading and Ernest, & (Ella) Winterhalder.

We would like to thank our extended family & friends, doctor's, the staff at Hospice for all your love, amazing care and compassion through these final days with Mom.
