He was predeceased by Anne (nee Veer), his wife of sixty four years, in 2009 and his parents John (1977) and Helena Vogt (1984), and his brothers Pete (1972) and John (1989). He is survived by his daughter Lorraine Enns (Carl), and sons Harry Vogt (LInda), Don Vogt (Gerda), and Fred Vogt (Louise). He also is survived by eleven grandchildren Jeanette Janzen (Nathan), Derek Enns (Colleen), Connie Vogt,, Diane Singh (Vince), Kevin Vogt, Eric Vogt (Traci), Jeff Vogt (Tanya), Curtis Vogt (Anne), Stephanie Vogt, Laura Wickenheiser (Shaun), and Kirsten Bonn (Tim). Nick came from South Russia with his family, as refugees, to Canada at the age of three. The family farmed first in Saskatchewan and then in Coaldale, Alberta. Nick also taught school for five years in Southern Alberta before moving to Kelowna in 1948. Here the extended family went into the soft drink business for twenty years. Thereafter Nick was the accountant at Kelowna Toyota for eighteen years until his retirement. His work was always characterized by diligence and precision.

Nick always enjoyed people and was an encouragement wherever he was. He was especially committed to serving his church in many capacities.

The family wishes to extend thanks for the loving care that our father received from the entire staff at Sutherland Hills Rest Home.

There will be a graveside service at the Kelowna cemetery at 10:00 am on Monday December 4, 2017 and a celebration of his life on December 28, 2017 at 10:30 am. at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship Church on Gordon Rd. in the Hub. Open invitation to all.
