UPDATE - SAND, Dale Arnold

UPDATE - SAND, Dale Arnold

UPDATE:
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2022, AT THE RUTLAND CENTENNIAL HALL 1pm - 3pm.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved, Dale Arnold Sand, who passed away on March 13, 2022, at the age of 60, with the love of his family surrounding him.

Dale lived in Penticton but was born and raised in Kelowna and always thought of Rutland as his home.

Dale liked the simple things in life like being outdoors, fishing and camping, gardening, and growing his plants. As a hobby, Dale really enjoyed and looked forward to making his homemade sausage- a family recipe that he carried on from his parents and which, over the years, he perfected. Most of all, he loved his family and his dogs. He looked forward to family time whether it was milestone events, family dinners, or just playing cards and having a laugh.

Dale enjoyed all of his jobs throughout his life but his most rewarding was with the City of Calgary Parks where he could be outside, talking to people, and helping them out whenever he could.

Dale had the biggest heart and would fill the room with his love and laughter. He had an infectious smile and people couldn’t help but feel joy when around him.

Dale was a caring and loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and the best dog dad ever. He leaves behind his adoring wife of 32 years, Roxanne; his siblings, Allan (Dorothy), Gary, Patsy (Rob) Rein; his in-laws, Andy Stishenko, Sandy and Diane Kiss, Tammy (Jay) Thomson, and Andrea (Domingo) Zuniga; his nephews and nieces, Tyler (Lisa, Mason, Thatcher), Craig (Cassie), Curtis, Derek (Alisa), Nicole (Chris), Kimberly (Rio), and Kyle (Hannah), Will, Lucia, and Matilda; and his loyal little dogs, Girdee and Milo. Dale was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Helen, and by his sister, Sharon.

Dale was a good man whose kindness and generosity will be missed by many. Dale will forever be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a local animal rescue like Paws It Forward. Dale would have loved that.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at the Rutland Centennial Hall on May 6, 2022, 1:00pm- 3:00pm.
