At the age of 88, Ming Tse passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was born and raised in Canton China and at the age of 25 married Voya Kwan. Due to the Mao Tse Tung communist revolution in which the opposition was being purged and the Tse family became political targets, Ming and Voya boarded a ship and abandoned their existing life and future in China to create a new life and future for all of us.
Like many immigrants coming to Canada in the post world war. Ming had to abandon his career in China and find other ways to support his family. Ming could no longer pursue his teaching career in Lethbridge and went to work in the family restaurant business (Lotus Inn) where he and Voya successfully raised their 6 children.
