TOSTENSON: Phylis Carol (nee Brown) was born December 7, 1924 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and died in Kelowna, BC on January 15, 2024 at the age of 99.
Phylis was predeceased by her loving husband Henry of 74 years. She is survived by her sons Brian and Ron (Wende) and daughters Louise (Andy) and Shirley (Les), nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Phylis was predeceased by her parents Harry and Alice Brown, her brother Eric, her sister Daphne and her granddaughter Sarah.
Mom attended her first four years of school in the Lilydale school district Rural 456. Mom’s family then moved to Kelowna where she attended school for four more years and then the family returned to Chichester Lake and Mom attended her last four years at Battleford Collegiate Institute in Battleford. Following graduation Mom worked in the Royal Bank, transferring to Kelowna when her family moved there in 1945. She worked at the Royal Bank during which time, she met our Dad on a blind-date and they were married in 1948.
Mom supported Dad in his business endeavours and his baseball activities. Mom was very involved with her church and the organizations her children were involved with. Mom and Dad loved their travels abroad, their winters away in California and their many getaway travels with their life-long friends.
Mom loved her children, grand-children and great grand-children and we thank her for the love, care and guidance she gave us unconditionally.

To the Tostenson Family. So sorry to hear of Mrs.T's passing. She always believed in all of us as kids. I still find it hard to believe she allowed two 18yr old kids (Rod Armitage and me) to coach a bunch of 13yr olds and take them to Richmond for the BC allstars.
Respect and Love

Brian, Louise and family’s
Sorry to hear of your Moms passing. As MJ pointed out our folks spent many good holiday times together while south in Palm Springs.
Patti and I got to share one of those in 2014 when Dad and Lovisa made their last trip with the Motor Home and we all stayed at the Rancho Casa Blanca resort.
Just a simple casino diner out was the proof that our folks had certainly enjoyed themselves so many times together in the past.
Phylis and Henry certainly leave so many memories to charish.
