TAKKEN, Trudy

On April 3, 2019 Trudy Takken passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 87. Survived by her loving family, children: Wim (Connie), Mary, Debbie (Wes), Paul (Linda), Caroline, Lisa (Mark), numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren and family throughout Canada and Holland. She was predeceased by her husband Jack and son Robert. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 839 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul, in memory of Trudy would be appreciated. My deepest condolences to all of the Taken Family. Your parents were one of the first families we met when we arrived in Canada. In later years after all you children were born I recalled babysitting for you in Glenmore when your parents went away for a long weekend. So sorry to hear my beautiful God Mother has passed. Every time I have seen her over the years, she has always been so sweet and she always wanted to hear what I was up to etc. Now she is with my sweet God Father, who I thought the world of.

Trudy was my second mom growing up. She had a quiet nature about her and loving spirit. I will always remember her with fondness.
