Vic Szadiak, Vernon BC, formerly of Ft. Smith NT, Ft. Churchill MB and The Pas MB, passed away on Monday April 16, 2018. He was 81 years old.
Vic had the love of his beautiful wife Gloria, his sons Vince and Tim, his "pride and joy" grandchildren; Emilio, Amani, Ife, Ora and Ona, surrounding him at the time he passed.
We would like to thank the VJH medical staff and all others, including Dr. Smit, who provided care for Vic, and to Father Stepan Dovhoshyia who was there for Vic when we needed him. Also a special thanks to Carrol for helping us in our time of need and more. Vic's smile, strength and support for his family, relatives, and all who knew him, will be greatly missed.
A viewing will take place at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vernon, BC at 6 PM Friday April 27, 2018, followed by prayers at 7 PM. Dear Gloria & family,

We are so sorry to read on Castanet the loss of Vic. We remember many good times we shared at our cabin on the Churchill River. We can still picture Vince and Tim fishing. They were just little guys. We often thought of you folks and the many visits in Vernon. You are very fortunate to have family there.

    Take care and keep well.
