STEFFENSEN, Anne Marie

STEFFENSEN, Anne Marie

Anne Marie Steffensen passed away peacefully at home on Feb 11th, 2018 in West Kelowna while surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 19th, 1932 in Oslo, Norway, Anne travelled to Vancouver, Canada in 1954. It was in Vancouver on a ski bus to Hollyburn Mountain that Anne met Edmund in 1955. Luck brought them together and love kept them together always. Married in Vancouver on October 29th, 1955, they remained in Vancouver to raise their 3 kids. Anne was a loving, understanding and kind mother to her children and to everyone she met. To Edmund she was his beautiful and caring wife, his everything. Her family meant the world to her and she loved every moment she had with her husband, children and beloved grandchildren. Anne was always immensely grateful for the life she had in Canada with her family. She enjoyed the many years of gardening, hiking, skiing, boating, going to the cabin and travelling.
Surviving are her loving husband, Edmund, her son Paul and wife Karen, and 2 grandchildren, Marina and Karl all of Ontario; her son Eric and wife Lois and 3 grandchildren, Greg, Christine and Mark all of North Vancouver; her daughter Barbara and husband Greg and 3 grandchildren, Eric, Scott and Emma all of West Kelowna.
There will be no funeral service as per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Central Okanagan Food Bank in her memory would be appreciated. Condolences maybe sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialfuneralkelowna.com Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services, 250-762-2299.
