SPILCHUK, Gregory Charles

Spilchuk, Gregory Charles

December 1948 - September 2017

Greg (Poppie) passed away peacefully following a long battle with cancer at Central Okanagan Hospice, Kelowna on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carmen of 44 years, His children and grandchildren. Jeremy (Kayson), Jamie (Lisa, Tristan and Carson) Dustin (Kabe and Ella) and extended family members.

Greg's passions were his 1979 Ford truck, built from the frame up by his own two hands, and his little dump truck, which kept him going the last few years. He always said he'd work to the end and he did and loved it. He enjoyed his TV and movies at home with his family that he was so proud of. They will miss his sly sense of humour, his obsession with the 60's, music and cars especially the Mustang, and his kindness and total devotion to whatever he set his mind to.

A celebration of his life will be held at his home 3282 McRobbie Rd. On September 30, 2017 at 1:00 till we're done. Come and share your memories with his family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Bobyn and all at KGH and Hospice who made this journey bearable.

To Carmen, the boys and their families, so shocked to hear the news of Greg's passing. We enjoyed the years of being your neighbours, Jeff and I would have bets on what type of vehicle was coming up the driveway by it's sound. Usually.......ALWAYS a Ford :0) Greg was a great man. He will be missed.

Love Jeff, Yvonne and Jordan Brown.

I'm very sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I will always remember his laugh, his calm demeanor and his kind nature. The laughter we shared playing games, his sense of humor was the best. To Carmen and family my deepest condolences.

All my love to the Spilchuk family. Greg has been our customer here at Orchard Ford for years and it was always a pleasure dealing with him. He always had a smile and was so proud of his 79 Ford Truck.

You will be missed Greg, lots.
