Sincerest condolences to all of the family. Although we had lost touch over the years I still remember fondly the visits that Archie and his family made to our farm in Manitoba when we were all kids.

Big hugs to Archie's family, friends and anyone he ever met. He was such a sweet, gentle man. He would sing "Oh Suzanna" and call me "girl" when he saw me. Never refused anything I baked and loved to chat for hours. Many fond times are remembered when he came to the orchard with your guitar. We knew he had cancer and hope there was no suffering. After all the many fine stories he told of his wife I'm certain they are dancing to Johny Cash now. Thanks, Archie, for being a man folks could rely upon and trust. We need more like you.

    Big hugs

    Jack and Suzanne Schneider

I just saw him. So sorry for your loss. We lived near Archie and Delores for years till we moved to Joe Rich. He would go fishing in the same holes we did and wasn't shy about finding our new ones now and again. He was loved by our family and we are so sad he wont be around for us to reminisce. Archie was a loving, caring, funny man who always had time to talk and a kind word. R.I.P. Archie! You will be sorely missed. Arlene and Rick Esslinger

Archie (rookie) was a great guy, never had a bad thing to say about anyone.I haven't seen him much in the last few years, just ran into him a few times in walmart. We always talked way too long until the people with us became impatient and made us move along. We had a lot of laughs when Del and Archie,Art and Linda And Don and Judy used to hang out and play music together. He's probably singing Amanda to Dell now.....I can hear it.

When my brother Clarence Boettger came to town we would always reminisce about Archie. I met Archie one day in 1981, he came to my wicket at the Bank to cash his pay cheque. The Manager had just finished telling me that the Bank was no longer cashing cheques for people who didn't have an active account with us. I took a liking to Archie (who I never seen before) and I told him to deposit $10.00 into a savings account and then I would be able to cash his pay cheques. So he did. Later we laughed about this many times. Then I found out he was related to my sister-in-law Fran Proscer (Boettger) What a small world. Many times we danced and sang along with Archie. We will remember him and his smile forever. So long dear friend, rest in peace.

    Donald and Liz (Boettger) Farrier.

We were two of the neighbours that Archie gave hugs and smiles to. We lived down the street for 24 years and he would frequently stop by and chat or just pet the dogs.. We would see him at the flea market on Sundays, having his pancake breakfast and then all snoop together.. he always had a pleasant word and encouragement.. Sincere thoughts and prayers go to the family. He was a wonderful man. Andy and Holly Ferbey
