From the offspring of four of Mt. Seymour`s pioneers, I and my wife add our condolences to the loss of yet another of the treasured pioneers of Mt. Seymour.

Mt. Seymour, the ski club of the day and the individual characters involved, left an indelible imprint on on our memories and lives in our pre-teen and early teen years. They remain treasured memories for us both.

Rest in peace Pete and thanks for creating memories.

Dawne Bringeland(daughter of Harold and Dotti)

Glen Powell(son of David and Pat) - (35 year instructor Whistler Blackcomb)

Peter didn't take no for an answer. He heard that I was going to retire, and didn't wait. "Now that you're 'retarded'," he announced, "you'd better come onto the Museum Board." It was a good introduction to the Okanagan Centre community, and its history. I never regretted getting pressured into that job.

Joyce, what a great picture of Peter. His kindness shows clearly through his eyes, as does his mischievous sense of humor. I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.

    Our deepest condolences Joyce.

Peter was certainly an OK Centre icon. I remember many evenings Peter would stroll by while I was out gardening. He always stopped to chat and that man seemed to know something about everything ! And boy! what a quirky sense of humour! Everyone knew, if you said you saw something "down by the mayor's house" exactly where that was.

Lake Country has lost a true gentleman. He's probably up there having a good talk with Ann Land.
