SELZER, Patricia

SELZER, Patricia

SELZER: Patricia (nee Kot). On January 27th, Patricia Selzer (Kot) was taken from the world far too soon.

She was only 27 years of age, the mother to two beautiful children - Olivia (2 yrs) and Jack (5 days old), the supportive sister to a younger brother - Lucas, the daughter to the most caring parents -Peter and Halina and the wife to the luckiest husband - Paul.

Always putting others before herself, she devoted her life to a career in Nursing with a passion for palliative care. She always found the good in people and situations; and was a great support in helping families and patients through tough times.

As a mother, Patricia spent night and day to give her children everything they needed. They were- and are- her love and joy. People always saw the best of Patricia when she was with Olivia and Jack.

Patricia leaves behind loving family in Kelowna, BC; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Dillon, Colorado; and Krakow, Poland. You are truly loved around this world and will be deeply missed.

A Prayer Service will be held from Corpus Christi Catholic Church , 750 Rutland Road, Kelowna on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 3:30 PM

Paul, Peter & Halina, I send my sincere condolences. I had the pleasure of getting to know and teach Patricia as a student nurse. From the moment I began to teach her - I could see she was meant to be on this earth to care for others. Her caring and compassion were always present with her patients and families that she cared for. She had all of the amazing qualities that impacted the lives of those under her care - the qualities and approaches that couldn't be taught from a teacher or text book- her kindness, her compassion, empathy and gentleness. I know those same traits were there in her personal life as well and were felt by her entire family. I wish you all strength and prayers during this time and onward.
