SCHREDL, Walter (Wally) Hans

SCHREDL, Walter (Wally) Hans

God completed His final touches on the soul of Walter Schredl and took him Home on May 8, 2018.

Walter grew up in Vienna, Austria and immigrated to Canada as a young adult. He leaves behind a legacy of a loving family: caring husband to Jan, father to five (Walter Jr., Sandra, Eric, Catherine and Laura), grandfather to ten and predeceased by sister, Linda Evoy.

Though a brilliant mechanical engineer, winning accolades in his profession, his final work was focused on being the faithful caregiver to his paralyzed wife.

Walter was musically gifted and could play the piano by ear, to the delight of his wife and children. He could also make the biggest cannonball into the pool. He spent countless hours designing and perfecting every mechanical aspect of his home, inventing things and immersing himself in anything to do with trains. Walter was fascinated by mathematics and science, and will no doubt by full of joy to have the heavens reveal the answers to life

My deepest condolences to Wally's family. I was working for Concept engineering in early 80s. It was a good team of three, working hard and having fun at the same time.

    Rest in peace Wally.

    Eric & Family,

Sorry to hear about Walter's passing. I have worked with your dad on many projects over the years. I can remember from years back funny little things he would draw onto the blueprints that made us laugh (fish in the toilet).

    Take care,

We had the opportunity to meet Walter at our shop and enjoyed his visits very much. We knew this was a intelligent man with a good head for electrical design, but it was his sense of humor and kind nature that defined his character. He will be missed. It was an honour to have met this man.
