Mike and Barb, I'm saddened to hear of your dad Frank's passing. Your family have been long time residents of the Belgo. I remember Frank being a kind and hardworking man ... working the orchard and driving for NOCA back in the seventies during the time when the Agricultural Land Commission was just forming. Your father along with Kogas, Haddens, Kitauras, Jaegars, and other were resident fixtures the Belgo bench. Those were good days that form many memories of growing up in Rutland. My condolences to you both and Mike and Barb. Peace

Diane and family. It is with great sadness to hear of Frank's passing. Truly a wonderful man. We are very grateful to have known him and you Diane. My dad worked with Frank and were friends. He did not see Frank much in the last few years but always talked so fondly of their friendship and adventures. Frank will be a shining light in the heavens.

Diane and family. Frank will be missed by the Ross Family. Many pictures in our album of Dave and Frank doing "stuff" hunting in the hills, playing pool at the Ross house, partying at "The Hall" and in later years..... Frank with Otto at the annual Pig Roast at the younger Ross generation event. We were all blessed to have him as a friend and he will be missed. With love to you all and sharing in your loss.

Diane, my heart is heavy upon hearing of (Frank's) Mr. Schell's passing. My childhood memories have always been filled with you both, as well as Mike and Barb. Your pool, the house we rented from you, the chickens, the orchard and the list goes on and on. I know that you both were a huge help to my mom, and after she passed away, an even bigger help to my dad. There is a special place in heaven for Mr. Schell. I will always remember his smiling face and how he loved to tease us kids.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Much love xoxox

Sincere condolences to all of Frank's family, lots of good memories when he was caretaker at Father De Lestre. He was always running even when pushing the lawn mower and snow would fly like a snowblower when he shoveled it. RIP Frank.

To the Schell family. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Frank. He was a great neighbour and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always up-beat and would drop in and say hello if he was passing by.

He was born in what is now Moldavia (then Romania) and was a few years younger than my mother Valentina Calissi (Bachmann) who was also born in the same village. He was one of the few left in Kelowna born in the Balmaz community.

    James Calissi, East Kelowna

Dear Di, Michael and Barb: So sorry to hear of your loss. It seems like yesterday that I first met Frank, Ruby Ed and Johnny when they arrived in Kelowna in 1950. My cousin and I were asked to show them around because we could speak some German. I never lost track of them especially Frank. Frank was an unbelievable man, the most hard working man I have even met. he worked hard to make his orchard a success (which he did) while delivering milk and other jobs that came up. East Kelowna and Canada is a much better place because of Frank. We all have great memories of Frank that we will cherish.

    Much Love
