Scharl, Irmgard Waltraud

May 17 1927 – February 17 2021

Born in Berlin Germany married to Irwin Scharl. Irma and her family emigrated to Canada in 1972 where she and her husband operated a senior’s care home until Irwin’s death in 1984. She spent her retirement playing with her Grandchildren, working in the garden and enjoying the outdoors. Active in the German Harmony club in earlier years Oma was a wicked card player not ending up on the losing side very often. She will be greatly missed by her son Robert, Son in law Gordon Irish, Grandchildren Kristopher, Patricia Irish, Shaylyn and Kylee Scharl. Sadly predeceased by her daughter Wilhelmine 4 days earlier.

Scharl and Irish family - I remember Mrs. Scharl as always being happy to see me whenever I visited their care home on Pandosy Street - even got hugs! I hope that when she meets up with Winni that they will take more road trips together! Condolences to both families. Lynda Lochhead
