ROWAT, James

With deep sadness we announce the passing of James Rowat at age 81 after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. With heavy hearts Jim leaves behind his wife Gery, daughters Beverly (Shaun) Barbra (Ray) Grandchildren Cory, Kyle, Christopher, Jacob and Meeka , Great Grandson Jaime Brother Larry (Violet) Sister Terry (Louie) Nieces and a nephew. Predeceased by parents Lindsay and Ruby, Son John and Sister Wendy.

Jim was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba and as a young boy moved to B.C. with his parents and brother Larry. As a young man Jim worked for Fisher Brothers auto body shop, then worked for B.C. Highways and retired from Sears Canada in 2000. He loved to be kept busy, so he always had a project on the go. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, playing hockey, cheering for the Canucks, camping with family and friends, golfing with his buddies at North Delta Golf Club and our winters in Arizona where we met wonderful friends.

Husband Father Grandpa and Brother we will miss you always.

Thanks to Oncology at Kelowna Regional Hospital and Penticton Regional Hospital for trying to free Jim of this horrible disease of cancer

There will be a private grave side service in Kamloops at a later date.
