PRANCIC, Shirley Elsie

Shirley passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Kelowna, at the age of 77.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at the St. Michael and All Angels Cathedral Church, 608 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna. Interment to follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.

It's impossible to think back on my childhood without warm memories of my godparents Shirley and Slavko, for whom I had such deep respect. Shirley was kind and generous to me in many ways with her time, her library (from which I borrowed countless books), her encouragement, and wisdom. Along with my parents Kathy and Peter, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Shirley's family and friends.

I met Shirley in the 80's, while working at KGH. She was always kind, cheerful and helpful. Even though she had many sad years of seeing her beloved Slavko struggle, she remained strong and positive. She was there to lend an ear to her friends. She hosted lovely gatherings to keep people connected. We lost touch for a few years, and were reunited in Mexico through mutual friends Jonn and Sue. I am honoured to have known her.

Shirley was a wonderful, friendly, cheerful and bright woman. A lovely lady with some great conversations that I'm happy to have known. Rest In Peace Shirley.
