Obituaries

PORTERFIELD: Muriel Alberta, passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2017 in Village at Smith Creek Care Center. She was born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta on January 6th, 1929.

Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband Arnold Russell Porterfield. She is survived by her two daughters Arlene(Wayne) Wiebe of Langley, Denise(Leverne) Prozny of West Kelowna; three grandchildren Erika Wahlund of West Kelowna, Michael(Lisa) Wiebe of Fanny Bay, Alison Wiebe of Langley and two great grandchildren Katrina Wiebe of Langley and Annika Wiebe of Langley.

Muriel and Arnold moved from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta to Surrey, BC after their marriage in 1946. They moved to West Kelowna in 2006 to enjoy the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Muriel loved music, she loved to play her piano and sing, dancing was another of her passions.
