It was always a pleasure to visit mom and John at the Chateau every Thursday for lunch. They had the story book wedding at the Chateau, with many family members from both sides. They were like two little love birds, always holding hands and doing numerous things together. John was very attentive to his new bride Lillian, and it was a treat to see the two of them together. I know their last few years were a joy together as they seemed to be truly in love and supported each other thru many difficult times. For the short time, that we knew John, we were pleased that he was such a Christian man and was very good for our mother during the last years of her life. I know we were all blessed to have John in our life, even for a short time.

To all the family, I am truly sorry for your loss.

To Bob, Ron and Mark (and families)

During the time I was in the family circle with (Bob) his parent showed me what real love was all about and that was handed to their children. I was so blessed each time Bob took me to see his parents as that was truly the only time I felt and knew love. His dad Jon was so in love with his mom Doris and he showed that love in every way. I was so sad when Doris (Mom) passed away and I seen Jon many a times after that, he still showed his love for her in words long after she was gone. Today I am grateful for knowing the kind heart they each had. I will never forget the time when Bob first took me to meet his parents and he told them my name and his dad Jon said wow that is a very musical name...and he sang my name and it was so cute....RIP Jon (Dad) and be safe in the arms of our Lord and Savoir with Doris (mom), Lillian and Reggie .....Love Giovanna Carabella (your musical named daughter from the past). I love you both forever and always.

I too counted it an honour to know John. Kind, gentle, wise and giving were hallmarks that marked his service to 883 RCAF Wing, Kelowna. Deeply felt condolences to his surviving family.

I had the pleasure to know John and his wife Lillian through my work at their retirement home. What a truly lovely couple they were! John had such a gentle manner and a kind way about him. I'll miss him, and also the many wonderful conversations we always had.

I will always remember John. I met him about five years ago at the retirement home where he met and married his second wife Lillian. John loved Lillian very much. They had a storybook marriage, it was so nice to see. John was a true gentleman through and through. He will be missed.

RIP my dear, it was an honour to know you.
