Obituaries

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carlos Ponte born in Portugal on February 1, 1933. Carlos passed away peacefully at home in Kelowna on September 25, 2018 at the age of 85. Carlos will to be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria of 50 years, his daughter, Natercia (Garrett); son, Norberto (Jen); grandchildren, Genna, Sophia, Amelia, Carter and Rosalee. Carlos immigrated to Canada in 1971 and moved to Lillooet in 1974 where he spent 42 years of his life before moving to the Okanagan in 2016. Carlos worked for BC Rail from 1971-1986. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and drinking homemade wine with his close friends. Carlos was known by many as
