Funeral Homes Submit ObituaryPFEFFERLE, Arthur Edward Art
August 24, 1932 - October 23, 2024
It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the loss of Arthur Edward Pfefferle, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 92.
Left to hold his memory dear are his beloved wife of 67 years, Ruth; 6 children, Debra, Cathy, Howard, Carleen, Sandy, and Raymond; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and siblings Rudy, Stan, Mildred, Betty, and Melvin; along with numerous close family and friends, including his Mexican family members, Raul and Marisol, and their two daughters, Sofia and Frida.
He now goes to join those who passed before him, including his parents Edward and Elizabeth; and his oldest daughter, Debra.
Art was born on August 24, 1932, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. In 1956, he met his beloved wife, Ruth, in Shannonville, Ontario, and the two married that same year, embarking on a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, they raised a close-knit family of six children in Deseronto, Ontario, where Art also served with pride as a member of the Deseronto Volunteer Fire Department. He built a successful career as a manager for Brunswick Corporation in Belleville, Ontario, eventually transferring with the company to North Vancouver, BC, in 1974. Art retired in 1990, choosing Kelowna, BC, as his permanent home but spending winters in Lo de Marcos, Mexico—a place that became so dear to him that his ashes will be spread there. Known for his deep affection for animals, especially dogs, Art’s love for his family always came first, leaving memories of kindness, dedication, and warmth. He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives were impacted by his presence.
Family and friends will each honour Art in their own ways. No formal service will be held.

Our deepest sympathies to you all . Art was very good to our Mexican workers & he helped me with a few projects, we had many laughs as he told me some of his shenanigans. Our thoughts are with you .

Howard & Katrina, We are so sorry to hear of Arturo’s passing. It was a pure pleasure knowing of his times in screen doors, bowling alleys, and racehorses. Loved the chats we used to have when I would see him puttering in his driveway. He will be missed. - John & Laurie Mackay~ - Nov 30, 2024
