PENNER, Jessika Vickie

PENNER, Jessika Vickie

Jessika Vickie Penner born in Inuvik, NWT, February 14, 1979, died peacefully surrounded by love at her Bethesda home June 10, 2019.

Beloved daughter of Glen and Connie Penner, sister Monika (Chris Johnson), brothers Oliver (Alaina), Elliot (Courtney). Nephews Remington and Walter. Predeceased by her grandparents Victor and Irene Gresko, Stanley and Anne Penner, Auntie Tara Archambault, Uncle Richard Gresko, Auntie Judy Penner and cousin Lisa Stark.

Jessie lived at home with her first loving family for almost 25 years until her increasing seizure disorder required her admission to her second loving family, Bethesda Christian Association East Kelowna Home, where Jessie lived a remarkably love-filled and beautiful life for over 15 years.

Jessie was an amazing influence in our family as well as many people in the community:other family members, friends, schools (she graduated from KLO Secondary in 1998) and all the special needs workers and CEAs, programs and the friends she made in all those. She was a gentle and kind, loving and somewhat opinionated girl with a funny sense of humour and a sometimes mischievous character.

Mere words cannot express our gratitude to Dr. Lianne Lacroix for her kindness and support over the years, to Bethesda Christian Association and all the amazing people who added to Jessie's full life. We love you Jessie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1910 Windsor Road on July 27, 2019 at 11:30am. Donations, if desired, may be sent to Bethesda Christian Association, #105-2975 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5T4. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.everdenrust.com
