PEDERSEN, Rosalann Gayle

Rosalann Gayle Pedersen (born Gay Rose Thompson), passed away on August 4th, 2018 at the Trinity Care Center in Penticton BC, at the age of 70 years. Her daughter Michelle Castillo, son Gerald Soucy, daughter-in-law Corina Musfelt, and husband Jens Pedersen were all by her side during her passing. Our mother suffered greatly over the last two years from terminal renal failure, we are thankful her suffering is finally over, and her spirit is now at peace and free.

Rosalann was born in Calgary Alberta to Anna and Charlie Thompson. She grew up in Black Diamond Alberta. At the age of 31 she attended Nursing school and graduated with a Nursing degree; she then worked as a nurse at the Turner Valley Hospital in the town of Turner Valley, Alberta. She then moved to Peachland, BC in 1982. In 1984 she attended the Robert Tilton Bible School for 3 years and obtained her pastoral certificate; to many she was known has Reverend Rosalann Pedersen. She had a very generous heart and helped anyone that needed help, whether it be food, shelter, time, or money, she was there for those that came to her. She started working at the Chinese Laundry Restaurant in Peachland, BC in 1987 and worked there for 10 years. She loved her co-workers just like they were family. She then moved to Penticton BC in 1997. In 1998 she met her husband Jens Pedersen, whom she loved very much. They were together for 21 years. In 1998 Rosalann started working for the Ramada Inn in Penticton doing laundry; she worked there for about 9 years. In 2007 she moved to Summerland BC, and worked in the deli at the Summerland IGA until she retired in 2013.

Rosalann is survived by her husband Jens Pedersen, brothers Joseph Thompson, Don Thompson, Charlie Thompson, Wade Thompson, Peter Thompson, sisters Holly Kirkpatrick, Joy Thompson-Eaglesham, Denise Peterson, daughter Michelle Castillo (Joseph Castillo), son Gerald Soucy (Corina Musfelt), 3 biological grandchildren, Nikolaus Kevis, Taylor Nicol, Caileagh Musfelt-Soucy, 5 step-grandchildren, Brenna Castillo, Caleb Musfelt-Lycar Taryn Castillo, Dante Castillo, & Maddison Musfelt, and great-step granddaughter Summer Castillo. Predeceased in death by her mother Anna Silbernagel, her father Charlie Thompson, brothers Ray Thompson, Chris Thompson, George Thompson and Ron Thompson.
