NEWMAN, Judith

With profound sadness Judy’s family shares the tragic news that suddenly, and unexpectedly, Judy Newman (née Strom) passed away at home in Kelowna Friday Dec 17, 2021, at the age of 76.

Judy and Rae celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this past October, and their love was as strong as ever. She is survived by Rae, son Scott (Stephanie), daughter Jill (Brian) and her grandchildren, Lauren, Jane, Will, Alexandra, and Jack.

Her family was the centrepiece of Judy's life, and she absolutely loved being a Grandma. The treat cupboard was always full, whether at home or the lake! Judy was a treasure and loved by so many; her bighearted Strom family, her brother and sisters and their families, and her universe of friends. We are heartbroken, and yet blessed with a tapestry of beautiful memories from our lives together.

The family will not be holding a memorial service at this time. A celebration of life for Judy may be planned at a later date.

I met Judy at TD bank many years ago. We ended up having some common friends and always had a good chat as she helped me bank. As my children grew up and went to the bank on their own she was always there to help them navigate that strange banking world. Judy was a kind gentle lady with lots of family stories and a great sense of humor. She will be missed. our condolences Jacki Morgan and family
