MURLEY, Heather Isabella

MURLEY, Heather Isabella

April 11, 1962 -July 18, 2017

Heather lived in Lake Country for the last 18 years. Her first concern was always that her son Shawn was treated fairly and have the best opportunities to be successful. She was passionate about raising rates for people living with disabilities, creating more low income housing, assistance for people living in poverty and making medical Marijuana more available for those living with pain.

Heather leaves behind her son Shawn, her loving mother, Moira Murley, sisters Jeanette and Lynn, her brother Scott and special friend Darrell Aubin, as well as the therapeutic dog Little Dude.

Heather passed away peacefully at the Kelowna Hospice House, surrounded by family and friends. Thanks to the staff at the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Fyles.

You were a true princess, Heather! You will live in our hearts forever!!

Shawn, I feel so blessed to have had the privilege of calling your mom my friend. Her sweet disposition, ever positive perspective on everything, her kind and thoughtful ways were all parts of the beautiful spirit I called Hez. Sending you loving support as you grieve this tremendous loss. Darling, darling...the princess has left the house.

    Dear Shawn,

I only recently heard of your dear Mother's passing. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I often think of the wonderful school year that I shared with you when I was lucky enough to be your teacher in grade three. Your Mom was always so supportive and full of love and positivity. She will be greatly missed by all of those people whose lives were touched by her.
