MLIKOTIC, Joseph

On November 18, 2022, Joseph Mlikotic, 71, went home to the Lord following a brief battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, Dida (grandfather), and friend. His life was truly a reflection of his faith and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and church community.

He is survived by his loving mother Vinka; sister Nada; children Becca (Simon) and John; and granddaughter Talia. Joseph leaves behind extended family in Kelowna, Nanaimo, Edmonton, Australia, Croatia and Portugal. He was predeceased by his wife Natalia; his father Ivan; and brother Peter.

Prayers will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday December 2, 2022 at 11:00 am; both at St Charles Garnier Parish, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph’s name to the Central Okanagan Hospice House, hospicehousekelowna.com, or the Canadian CJD Association, www.canadiancjdassociation.com/research.

My dear Joseppi, I will miss you forever. Your kind advice to me whenever I needed an ear to talk to, keeping our friendship with me and Nat's family by remembering birthdays, Christmas etc. You always told me to accept Jesus and read the Bible that you were so passionate about. Well you did and now you are with your savior. You went quickly, quietly and with dignity.
