The family of William Henry (Bill) Miller sadly announce his passing at Gateby Care Centre on September 13, 2018 in Vernon, BC. at the age of 96.

Bill is survived by his daughters Joyce (Norm) and Bonnie (Jim), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, his brother Wilfred (Eileen), sisters Margaret, Dolly, and Bernice and sister-in-law Leona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, and partner Tina, his brothers George, Albert, and Alfred and sisters Rose and Mary.
Bill was born on April 25, 1922 in Lemberg, Saskatchewan to Dan and Catherine Miller. He married his childhood sweetheart Wanda in 1943 in Vernon, BC. He worked in many different occupations over his lifetime.
Bill was an accomplished wood-worker, gardener, landscaper, card player and pool player. He enjoyed travelling. He was active in the Lutheran Church in his younger years, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at the Schubert Centre.
A funeral service is scheduled on Thursday September 20, 2018 at The Pleasant Valley Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the North Okanagan Hospice Society. The family would like to thank Carolyn McLaine, Dolly, and the Staff at Orchard Valley for all their ongoing help and support, and to Gateby Care Centre Staff, Dr. Vincent and Interior Health for their care and dedication in Bill's last days.
