MCKINNON, Bruce Alfred

MCKINNON, Bruce Alfred

Passed away at KGH of heart failure on June 13, 2017. Bruce was born October 21, 1943 to loving parents Charles and Emily and raised in Winnipeg. He is survived by his devoted wife Anita of 49 years and Yorky Gem whom he adored as well as his other fur babies over the years. Predeceased by his parents and older brother Neil. Surviving are sister -in-law Gloria and niece Marni (Jeff) and their children, and cousins scattered far and wide. Bruce and Anita moved to Kelowna in 1977 and Bruce enjoyed his career in sales and became very successful. Bruce loved to golf and socialize with his coffee buddies. Bruce still loved Winnipeg and went back as often as possible and was a huge Blue Bomber fan. Bruce dealt with many health issues but the biggest challenge was that he survived his lymphoma cancer in 2010. He will be so very much missed. Thank you to the COHA for their vigils and a heartfelt thank you to all those who cared for Bruce during his final days. Bruce requested no service and flowers gratefully declined. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will follow soon.
Arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services, (250) 860-6440.
