So sad to hear about Mrs.Bardsley. I remember her as the crossing guard at Central elementary school when my son went there many years ago. The kids loved her. Cheryl Kittle

So very sorry to hear the news, I knew both Grace & Ed for many years growing up in Westbank, they always stopped and said hello, and catch up on family updates.

Grace too, watched over my boys crossing the street from Central Elementary. I still have the coloured news clipping of her in a Santa suit. What fond memories.

Hold dear to your hearts all your wonder memories, so that she lives on in your thoughts and hearts, with kindness, Darlene

    Dear Grace,

Once met, never forgotten in her many roles: Arkela for cubs and indomitable crossing guard at Central School on Richter St. (Where she became Santa Claus with a 'STOP' sign each Christmas!). Always kind, Jolly, friendly and cheerful. At her retirement school assembly, the children at Central cheered when the staff sang their own adapted version of 'Amazing Grace' - which she truly was. Always remembered. Many condolences to all the family.
