MCCORMICK, Dale (Bubba)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Dale (Bubba) McCormick announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend on January 13, 2019.

Dale was born March 29, 1950 in Kelowna and spent his life on Okanagan Lake. He had a love for classic cars, Harleys, boats, and sharing all of these passions with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan. Together, they had two children: son, Lee (Tina) and grandkids Paige, Brett, Andrew and Alice; daughter, Suzie (Chris) and grandkids Maddie and Riley; several brothers, Bob (Kathleen), Mal, Bernie, and sister Marlene; aunts and uncles in Saskatchewan, a large extended Bifford family, and more friends than can be listed.

Late nights working at Pete's Gulf & Benny's on Dale and Malcolm's cars and boats. House and beach parties, wonderful times. We cherish the memories.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. It was a shock. I can't count the number of times that Mo and I said we have to get together and do some camping with Dale and You. I met Dale shortly after moving to Kelowna in 64. His Mom and Dad took me in when I was finishing high school. I felt I was part of their family but we ended up going down different roads after finishing school. OOh how I wished that we would of made those phone calls and did some visiting and travelling with you.

If we can be of any help in this time of mourning and even later, please call us and we will be there.

Dearest Joan and family. We are so incredibly sorry to hear that our Bubba has passed away. We all had so much fun in our house boating days. Bubba was always there for us whether we needed something fixed, just wanted to sit and chat or ran out of ice. So many funny stories to hold dear to our hearts. So sorry to see that " Mucker " has passed...I met him in the summer of 67'..full of laughs and just a good guy. I saw him on his party boat many times on Okanagan Lake ...it was always full of friends.
