MAYER, Ed

December 20, 1936 ~ January 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Mayer on January 25th, 2025.

Ed passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at the Kelowna General Hospital. Born December 20th, 1936 to Mary and Anton Mayer in Grayson Saskatchewan. Ed later relocated to Creston where he met his wife of 62 years, Elsie. After welcoming four children into their lives, the family would settle down in Rossland where Ed ran his business and called home for many years.

Ed is survived by his wife Elsie, brothers Casper and Jerry, daughter Aline (John), sons Dean (Lisa), Derek (Dani), Tim (Kumi), as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Known for his selfless attitude and unrelenting work ethic, Ed will especially be remembered for the role he embraced as a provider to those he loved.

A service will be expected to follow in the early Spring of 2025.
