MARTENS, Vernon

Vernon Martens
1931 – 2024

Vernon was born on December 10th, 1931 in Morden, Manitoba and passed into the arms of Jesus on November 26th, 2024 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 92 years. He moved to Vernon following his retirement from the military in 1980.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two sons; Andrew (Karen) and Robert, his grandson; Jordan (Jessica) and their son, Jayden. Vernon was predeceased by his wife Queenie in 2015, his grandson Jared in 2009 along with four siblings; George, Isabel, Dorothy and Maxine.

Cremation preceded a Graveside Service which will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Dr. Teresa Charlton officiating.

The family wish to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Hospice House for the wonderful care provided to Vernon during his time there.
