My heartfelt sympathies to Susan and family. Gerry was one of the nicest best people that I worked with at the City of Kelowna. Just last year at a retired luncheon, where I spoke to Gerry, he still made me feel special. Thank you.

Gerry got me my first job at the City of Kelowna. I remember him coming out to Rutland Arena every day at 3 to share coffee break with the guys when I worked relief there. He was always interested in how we were and how he could be of help in our jobs. He was a real stand up guy and he reminded me much of my own father. Our condolences to the family.

I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Gerry was amazing to all of us "adopted" kids, he lets us take over his house especially his basement. He was very patient, welcoming and kind, I will never forget our trips to the cabin (I seen my 1st bear with Gerry). Great times. Thinking of all of you and will see you Saturday to celebrate his life.

    Susan and family,

I will always remember the time spent in the Memorial Arena chatting with Gerry and his crew. They were always ready to make things work no matter what we came up with. Minor Hockey was very lucky to have Gerry as a friend. I must think we contributed to his grey hair with some of our requests. He was a good friend and loyal City employee. Miss Gerry since we have both retired from the City. God Bless.

Gerry was a awesome man who helped many young athlete gain prominence in his/her sport by the way he kept up the City of Kelowna Rec facilities . He was very proud of what he did and he was awesome to have a chat with. He definitely saw the big picture.

Kelowna is a better place to live in because of what Gerry did. Thanks for all that you did for my family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
