LEAVER, William

Bill Leaver, age 87 years, passed away peacefully in Penticton on December 19, 2018. He is survived by two sons, both from Summerland. After national service as an M.P. with the RAF, Bill graduated from Blackburn Technical College and an apprenticeship with Lucas Ltd. He went on to a globe spanning career as an engineer, including stints in the U.S. and Mexico.
Eldest son Glenn fondly remembers the years he spent growing up in India and youngest son Scott is forever grateful to his dad for moving the family to Canada. Bill is also fondly remembered by his ex-wife, Irene of Summerland who was a runner-up in the 1961 Miss Great Britain contest. Also surviving Bill are his brother Jack, sister Annie, granddaughter Beth (John), great grandson Colby and daughter-in-law Lisa. Bill
