LANGE- Helmuth Karl

April 27, 1932 – Sept. 12, 2022

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 12, 2022, in Kelowna, BC at the age of 90. Predeceased by his first wife Elsie (Pahl); his eldest son, Raymuth. Survived by his wife, Edith Grube; his sons, Simon and Alden; and his grandchildren, Raelene and Thomas. Helmuth was born in Tarchominska, Warschau Poland. He came to Canada in 1951 and for the past 48 years Kelowna was his home. He worked for the School District 23 as a Custodian, until he retired in 1991. He attended Evangel Church faithfully. His passion was telling others about Jesus Christ and his faith, especially with those less fortunate. He enjoyed singing and playing his Mandolin and Harmonica; also loved fruit and vegetable gardening. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 16th, 2022, at Everden Rust Funeral Services (1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna) at 11AM. Interment to follow at Kelowna Memorial Park. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Karl.

It's been forever that we were neighbours, living in Rutland. You were always so friendly and helpful to our family. It's unfortunate that in time we lose contact, when our lives go in different directions. Maybe we may, by chance meet again.

Edith, Simon, Alden, and grandchildren. Helmuth was the historian of our family of 12 children, now only 6 of us left, Hilde; Hulda; Edmund; Johanna; Ruth; Willi. KimBerley & myself are saddened to hear about your loss. I have several fond memories of Helmuth growing up. I would say that he had a big influence in my passion for aquariums having first witnesses one in his home in Edmonton a long time ago. Helmuth was one of the strongest believers of Jesus Christ I ever knew. He had more boldness to talk to anybody and mostly strangers about the Lord than most pastors. For God, he was one of His generals. Three devoted sons who love God and continue his legacy to this day were successfully raised by him and Elsie. He was dearly loved and admired. He has been promoted to sit at the feet of the Master.
