April 26, 1932 – March 7, 2025

Lillian was born in Gnadenthal, Manitoba, on April 26, 1932. She passed from this life into the presence of her Lord on March 7, 2025, at age 92.

She is survived by her loving husband Peter (a week shy of their 70th wedding anniversary) her children, Arlene, Lori (Harvey Lepp) and Darrell. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her five grandchildren, Lisa, Maxine, Jody, Josh (Carmen), and Stacey (Kevin); eight great-grandchildren, Parker, Aven, Taya, Tobin, Henrik, Amelia, Sadie, and Tycen; brothers George and Fred Sawatzky, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings John, Hilda, Jake, Bert, and Martha.

Lillian moved from Clearbrook to Vancouver in her early 20s and spent much of her life living and raising her family in Richmond, retiring to Kelowna in 1997. Lillian’s love for design became a reality as she and Peter built and created many beautiful homes. She had a natural talent for bringing homes together like artwork. Her creativity extended to knitting blankets, toques, and much more, and her baking was legendary. An avid reader, she always had a book by her side. Lillian exuded kindness, connecting with nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours, leaving a lasting impression on those she met.

Throughout her life, as a follower of Jesus, Lillian's faith was central to how she lived her life. The family is grateful for her love and influence in their lives.
