KOSKI, John Albert

KOSKI, John Albert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Albert Koski of Enderby BC at the age of 90 years. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Martha, his daughters Pat Sefton (Jim), Anita Warren, and son Albert Koski (Sherry). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John was born and raised in Sunshine, Ontario. He worked in lumber camps, in one of which he fell for the camp cook Martha, following her back to Wardner, B.C. in 1948. Wardner was a lumber town but upon closures of the mills John and Martha moved their young family to Port Coquitlam where work was more plentiful. In 1968 the couple moved to Enderby where kids and grandkids soon followed. John went on to work for the Federated Co-op mill for the next 20 years, retiring in 1986 with the distinction of not having lost a single day of work to sickness. John was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting, and especially fishing. We still don’t know his secret but it seemed for every one fish on our line, John always seemed to have four!

A celebration of life will be held for John this summer. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
