KEUHL, Wayne Herbert

November 7, 1942 - March 27, 2025

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Wayne Keuhl on March 27, 2025, at the age of 82.

He is survived by his loving wife, Trish; his sister Beverley; his children, Debbie, Lynn, and Tracy (Lorne); his stepchildren, Alan (Tracey), Kiera (James), and Lynn (Tony); grandchildren Lindsay (Brad), Marlon (Kelsey), Meaghan (Dave), Holly (Chris), Ainzley, Barry, Jessica, Sophia and Stella; great-grandchildren Ashtyn, Cooper, Rylee, Jordyn, Adrianna, Lilah, and Riviana. He was predeceased by his mom, Evelyn, father, Herbert, and sister Merna.

Wayne was the proprietor of London Optical on Lawrence Avenue in Kelowna from the late 1960s to the late 1980s. He loved all sports and built many friendships around motorbiking, snowmobiling, softball, and golf. Wayne was president of the Kelowna Motorbike Club and the Kelowna Snowmobile Club in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was instrumental in developing the off-road trail systems in the Graystokes and Bear Creek areas for both sports. He also served as fire chief for the Carrs Landing Volunteer Fire Department from 1984 to 1988.

He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones. Rest in peace, my love, your “sweetheart” Trish.

This is sad news. I always enjoyed Wayne when he and his friends would visit us at the Shannon Lake Golf Club. He was a friendly, well-spoken and organized man. We would also chat periodically and giggle about some of the various adventures we both experienced on our respective strata councils. Just a terrific guy. - Glen Erickson
